flydubai prepares for flights to Congo
Starting April, passengers of flydubai aiming to visit the Democratic Republic of the Congo will benefit the Dubai-Kinshasa route.
“Africa is fast emerging as one of the most important markets for the United Arab Emirates and we have seen the trade relationship going from strength to strength in recent years.
“With the proximity to the continent and rising demand to more direct links to Africa, we see this new service to Kinshasa playing an instrumental role in further supporting the growing trade and tourism flows in the coming years,” declared the CEO of flydubai, Ghaith Al Ghaith, with the occasion of the service launch.
The route will be operated daily starting April 15th, with one stop near Entebbe, in Central Uganda.
The Emirates code-share agreement also enables booking for all passengers aiming to visit the African continent.
With the recent deal, flydubai becomes the first UAE airline that connects the Emirates with Central Africa and the very first one to service the N’djili Airport in Kinshasa, one of the biggest connective hubs on the continent.
flydubai started its operations back in 2009. The route to Congo adds to the other 13 African hubs that the company serves: Addis Ababa, Alexandria, Asmara, Djibouti, Entebbe, Hargeisa, Juba, Khartoum and Port Sudan, as well as Dar es Salaam, Kilimanjaro and Zanzibar.
