Eurowings Launches Hot Air Balloon Tours in Mallorca

Eurowings, known for its innovative travel experiences, has launched a new hot air balloon service from the sunny island of Mallorca. The idea, which began as an April Fool's joke, has become a reality with the "Burgundy Dreams" balloon now taking off regularly.

A Unique Flight Experience

First Jet-Designed Balloon

• The balloon features a cockpit, tail unit, and wings, mimicking an airplane design.
• Painted in Eurowings' colors and branding, the balloon offers a distinctive look.

A Dream Turned Reality

• Initially announced as an April Fool's joke on April 1, 2024, the overwhelming positive response led to its actual creation.

Scenic Tours Over Mallorca

Launching in June

• Starting June, the balloon will offer scenic tours, allowing passengers to explore Mallorca from up to 500 meters in the air.
• Operated by Mallorca Balloons, which has been active on the island for 37 years.

Balloon Specifications

• The M160 hot air balloon can hold over 4,500 cubic meters of air and stands more than 22 meters high.
• The basket can accommodate four to five passengers, offering an open-air, convertible-like experience.
