Emirates Resumes Daily A350 Flights to Edinburgh

Airlines & Airports

Emirates’ reintroduction of daily flights to Edinburgh with the modern A350-900 aircraft promises enhanced passenger experiences, increased cargo capacity, and stronger connectivity between Scotland and the global network served by Emirates.

Emirates Announces Return to Edinburgh with New Daily A350 Service

Emirates is gearing up to reintroduce daily flights from Dubai to Edinburgh beginning on November 4, 2024. This move marks a significant return to the Scottish capital, enhancing the airline’s offerings in the region, which currently includes a daily A380 service to Glasgow.

A350-900: Comfort and Connectivity

The route will feature the Emirates A350-900 aircraft, arranged in a three-class configuration. This includes 32 lie-flat seats in Business Class, 21 seats in Premium Economy, and 259 seats in Economy Class. Flight EK23 will depart Dubai at 14:50hrs, arriving in Edinburgh at 19:05hrs local time. The return flight, EK24, will leave Edinburgh at 20:40hrs, landing back in Dubai at 08:05hrs the next day.

Expanding Scottish Horizons

Initially launched in 2018 with a Boeing 777-300ER, Emirates' renewed commitment to Edinburgh will be serviced by its A350, known for spacious cabins and advanced features such as custom mood lighting and enhanced air quality systems. Passengers can enjoy seamless connections via Dubai to over 130 destinations, including popular spots like the Maldives, Bangkok, and Sydney.

Boosting Local Trade and Tourism

The daily flights are set to increase cargo capacity significantly, allowing for 16 tonnes of cargo per flight. This capacity boost will support Scottish exports like salmon, shellfish, and whisky. Emirates SkyCargo’s expanded operations will improve local businesses' access to international markets.

Discover Edinburgh's Charms

Edinburgh, a top destination for both leisure and business, is famed for its UNESCO-listed Old and New Towns, stunning architecture, and vibrant cultural scene. Visitors can explore historic sites, enjoy the literary scene, and experience local arts and music.

Global Reach, Local Flavours

This route expansion underscores Emirates' commitment to the UK market, where it operates 133 weekly flights across seven cities. The A350's deployment to Edinburgh will allow travelers to experience Emirates' acclaimed Premium Economy class and its next-generation Business Class cabins.

Onboard, passengers will enjoy gourmet meals inspired by their destination, a vast selection of premium beverages, and Emirates' award-winning inflight entertainment system, ice, offering up to 6,500 channels of on-demand entertainment. This includes works from Scottish talents such as actor Brian Cox and director Charlotte Wells.
