Emirates Adds Third Daily Flight to Mauritius

Airlines & Airports

Emirates has announced it will launch a third daily flight to Mauritius starting 1 December 2025, further strengthening connectivity to the popular Indian Ocean destination. The additional service, operated by a three-class Boeing 777-300ER (flights EK709/710), will boost seat capacity by more than 30% and cater to the rising demand from leisure and business travelers across Emirates’ global network.

The new service complements the airline’s existing double daily A380 flights (EK701/702 and EK703/704) and will operate under a codeshare with Air Mauritius. It will help facilitate travel from Europe, the Middle East, the Americas, and Far East markets, including Japan, China, Malaysia, and Hong Kong, where Emirates is actively promoting the destination.

Flight Schedule (Local Times)

  • EK709: Departs Dubai at 06:55, arrives in Mauritius at 13:40.

  • EK710: Departs Mauritius at 18:30, arrives in Dubai at 01:10 the next day.

Flights are now available for booking on emirates.com, the Emirates App, Emirates retail outlets, contact centers, and travel agencies.

Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, stated:

“We’re proud to expand our Mauritius operations, where our A380 services have significantly contributed to tourism growth. The Boeing 777 service will not only boost capacity but also enhance connectivity for travelers worldwide.”

Emirates has served Mauritius since 2002, carrying over 8.8 million passengers and 126,000 tonnes of cargo to and from the island. The airline’s presence has driven significant economic contributions, including USD 119 million in direct revenue, USD 264 million in tourism receipts, and USD 530 million in tourism-related spending, while supporting 3,600 local jobs.

With this third daily service, Emirates continues to leverage its partnership with Air Mauritius and the Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority to position Mauritius as a top global destination.
