EasyJet is Europe’s favorite low-cost carrier

The British airliner has won the “number one” title as the best European carrier, following a research led by on-line travel agency eDreams

According to the poll conducted by eDreams on 16.000 travelers, EasyJet outraced popular Ryanair and Monarch, as it has been chosen by 63 per cent of the respondents as their favorite low-cost carrier.

Based at London Luton Airport and founded in 1995, the airliner gained popularity among European travelers, because of the excellent services and low flight prices. Preferred by both business and leisure travelers, EasyJet has been declared to be “the web’s favorite airliner”.

“My favourite airline is EasyJet and I don't think they need to improve. I have been traveling with them for 18 years and never had a problem - and hardly a delay,” one of the respondents declared.

Travel expert Kasia Jankowska commented: “It has never been easier to see the world and low-cost airlines have played a huge role in making that experience possible for even more travellers. However, from our survey, it’s becoming evident that some customers are beginning to question the value of discount airlines – especially when faced with unexpected extras they have to pay when they arrive for their flight. We always recommend that all customers review allowances and additional fees with the airline before flying, so they’re not hit with any unpleasant extra costs at the airport.”

 

Despite the recent poll’s results, most of the European travelers are not satisfied with the services provided by low-cost airlines. The general opinion revolves around the fact that the discount airline prices are considered to be unfair when compared to the standard airliners, which offer better flight services at the same overall costs.
