Dublin Airport Braces for Busy Easter Weekend with Nearly Half a Million Passengers

Dublin Airport is set to welcome nearly 500,000 passengers during the Easter weekend, marking a bustling period for both incoming tourists and outgoing travelers.

Dublin Airport is gearing up for a busy Easter weekend, expecting to welcome close to half a million passengers as the holiday period kicks off. The airport will serve as a hub for thousands of international tourists flocking to Ireland for the Easter celebrations, as well as a departure point for locals embarking on various trips, from educational and religious excursions to leisurely getaways involving sun, skiing, and cultural exploration worldwide.

The passenger flow is estimated to be around 100,000 each day from Thursday through Monday, with Friday projected to be the busiest day, seeing over 104,000 travelers. Over these five days, approximately 255,000 passengers are anticipated to depart from Dublin Airport, while about 240,000 are expected to arrive.

Travelers departing from Dublin Airport are advised to arrive at the terminal two hours ahead of short-haul flights and three hours before long-haul flights to ensure a smooth departure process. Additionally, with the Easter weekend seeing a surge in demand for parking, both long and short-term parking spaces at the airport are predicted to be fully booked from Friday until the middle of the following week.
