Delta Cancels JFK–Tel Aviv Flights Amid Conflict
Delta Air Lines has suspended flights between New York-JFK and Tel Aviv as the ongoing conflict in the region continues to affect airline operations and security conditions.
According to the airline, flights from New York-JFK to Tel Aviv have been cancelled through March 22, while return services from Tel Aviv to JFK are cancelled through March 23. The decision follows several earlier extensions of the suspension as the situation in the region evolved.
Delta said affected passengers will receive notifications through the Delta mobile app or the contact details listed in their reservation once cancellations are processed in the airline’s system. However, customers do not need to wait for the official notification and can already modify their travel plans.
The airline has issued a travel waiver allowing passengers with bookings to or from Tel Aviv to change their itineraries without penalty. The waiver applies to travel scheduled through March 31, giving customers greater flexibility to rebook flights or adjust their plans.
Delta is encouraging travellers to check the Delta app or delta.com to verify their flight status and explore alternative travel options.
The airline emphasized that the safety of customers and employees remains its top priority. Delta said it is continuously monitoring the security situation and will adjust operations based on updated safety guidance and intelligence reports. Further updates will be communicated as conditions evolve.
