News

In addition, the U.S. airline will add several routes from London Heathrow and Edinburgh airports, as a part of its expanding strategy in order to “meet demand” for UK travellers aiming to reach the US.

The summer of 2023 schedule will feature 15 daily flights including Gatwick to JFK New York, Heathrow to Los Angeles and Edinburgh to Atlanta routes.

“Adding three routes from the UK in one day is a milestone moment for Delta, especially in one of our most important markets.

“This summer saw extremely high demand for travel between the UK and US and by adding more routes and extra frequencies, including service from London’s two main airports and the Scottish capital”, commented Nicolas Ferri, Delta’s vice president for Europe, Middle East, Africa and India.

First Heathrow to Los Angeles flights will be available starting March 26, followed by Gatwick to New York on April 11 and Edinburgh to Atlanta on May 26.

Delta and Virgin Atlantic will operate up to 40 daily flights between the UK and US in the summer season of 2023, while a total of 620 flights per week will be available towards 32 EMEA destinations.
