Condor to Move Operations to Frankfurt Airport’s Terminal 3
German carrier Condor has announced it will relocate its operations to the new Terminal 3 (T3) at Frankfurt Airport in summer 2027, in a move jointly confirmed with airport operator Fraport AG.
The shift to Terminal 3 underscores Condor’s long-term commitment to its home base in Frankfurt and supports the airline’s strategic development amid fleet renewal and brand evolution. The move also aligns with broader efforts by both companies to reinforce Frankfurt’s role as a major international aviation hub and economic driver for the Rhine-Main region.
Terminal 3 is one of Europe’s most advanced airport facilities, featuring state-of-the-art technology, streamlined passenger processes and enhanced comfort areas from check-in through security and boarding. The infrastructure is designed to boost operational efficiency and handle growing passenger numbers while meeting high sustainability standards.
Condor’s decision to base operations at the new terminal highlights its plans for continued growth, operational stability and improved travel experience for passengers. The relocation is also set to contribute to sustained economic value and job creation both directly within flight operations and indirectly through suppliers, service providers and the tourism sector.
Fraport’s Chief Executive Officer said the partnership with Condor is an important step for Terminal 3, which will offer short walking distances, modern digital services and premium facilities as part of its overall passenger experience.
The move is scheduled to take place after Terminal 3 begins full operations, following its official opening and phased airline relocations from existing terminals in 2026.
