Cascais & Estoril Are the Golf Lovers’ Heaven

Estoril and Cascais are two of the most prosperous and famous resorts of Portugal. Part of the Golden Triangle, they can be considered a paradise for surfing and golf lovers. Estoril is famous for its thermal waters and its cosmopolitan and aristocrat vibe. The main symbol of Cascais is the royal court that offers the resort its glam and elegance.
Although at first it was just a small resort, during the time, the Estoril resort became a favorite destination of exiled European kings, being called the Portuguese Riviera, with a famous Corso, beautiful gardens, golf courses and an attractive beach, Tamariz. During the summer, visitors can enjoy concerts and recitals in Estoril Cathedral and other impressive venues. Estoril is just 15 km from the capital Lisbon.
The Casino is well known and it was the residence of Juan de Bourbon, pretender to the Spanish throne in the late twentieth century. With palm trees in the park, located in front of the casino, reached through an underground passage at Tamariz Beach, where you can easily reach on foot, in Cascais, crossing several natural beaches. Handicraft fair in Estoril is one of the best organized events during the summer in Portugal.
Some of the best golf courses in Portugal are located in this part of the coast of Lisbon, which is now accessible from Lisbon airport in less than 45 minutes. The most famous of them all is Golf Club Estoril and Penha Longa land. Golf lovers will enjoy their favorite sport here while enjoying an impressive view. In Estoril there are also 20 tennis courts, all open till late hours. Although it was a royal region, Cascais has all the Estoril glamor, but not his reputation, growing around the old port with many old churches and chapels. However, Cascais is also a great place to learn or practice golf, with great tennis courts and renowned professors.
With its clear and transparent water, which received the blue flag of the European Union, the region is geographically divided into two sectors: south coast beaches with elegant mansions or historic palaces and the west coast that captures the naturalness of landscapes and the great waves.
