Brussels Airport expands to 180 destinations for summer 2026
Brussels Airport will offer direct flights to 180 destinations this summer, with 70 airlines operating during the 2026 season starting March 29.
The expanded schedule includes eight new routes and five new airlines, further strengthening the airport’s position as a major international hub.
On long-haul routes, LATAM Airlines will launch three weekly flights to São Paulo from June, marking the return of direct passenger flights between Brussels and South America after 26 years. Air Canada will introduce three weekly flights to Halifax, while Brussels Airlines will begin services to Kilimanjaro twice a week.
The Asian network is also growing, with Air China launching flights to Chengdu and Beijing, increasing the number of direct Asian destinations served from Brussels.
Within Europe, LOT Polish Airlines will add four weekly flights to Gdansk, and Volotea will operate three weekly services to Asturias in northern Spain. Routes to Chongqing and Larnaca, introduced during the winter season, will continue through summer.
Brussels Airport will also welcome five new airlines, including Air China and LATAM Airlines, alongside Volotea, Air Senegal and Smartwings, bringing the total number of carriers to 70.
Existing airlines are also expanding operations. Transavia is increasing its presence with additional aircraft and more Mediterranean routes, while Vueling is adding flights to Palma and boosting frequencies to destinations such as Barcelona, Alicante and Malaga. Royal Air Maroc will introduce flights to Tétouan, and TUI fly will launch services to Kayseri.
Delta Air Lines will significantly increase its Atlanta route, upgrading from three weekly flights to daily service, improving connections to the southern and western United States.
With these additions, Brussels Airport’s intercontinental network will grow to 41 destinations, including North America, South America, Asia, the Gulf region and sub-Saharan Africa.
The expanded schedule offers travellers more direct connections and highlights Brussels Airport’s continued growth as a key European gateway.
