British Airways reestablishes its route to Abu Dhabi, offering daily flights from London Heathrow using Boeing 787-9, enhancing connections between the UK and UAE.

British Airways has officially resumed its operations to Abu Dhabi after a four-year hiatus, marking the occasion with the inaugural flight landing at Zayed International Airport earlier today. The airline has reintroduced the route with a daily service connecting London Heathrow to the capital of the UAE, aiming to bolster the travel links between the two nations.

The flights will be operated using the state-of-the-art Boeing 787-9, ensuring passengers experience comfort and efficiency. The year-round service will operate under flight numbers BA073 and BA072, departing from London Heathrow at 22:25 and arriving in Abu Dhabi at 08:30 the following day. The return flight departs Abu Dhabi at 10:10 and arrives back in London at 15:20.

Elena Sorlini, Managing Director and CEO at Abu Dhabi Airports, expressed enthusiasm for the renewed service: "We are delighted to welcome British Airways back to Abu Dhabi. This daily service enhances our connectivity and supports our efforts in boosting both business and tourism sectors. Our new terminal provides an award-winning, cutting-edge experience that showcases the best of Emirati hospitality."

Calum Laming, Chief Customer Officer at British Airways, also shared his excitement about the route's launch: "Reintroducing the Abu Dhabi route expands our global network and reinforces our connections within the UAE. We're thrilled to provide our customers with more travel options and the unique service that British Airways is known for. Personally, it’s also a joy to reconnect with Abu Dhabi, a city close to my heart where I have lived for nearly a decade."

The reintroduction of this route by British Airways follows strategic enhancements to improve global connectivity and offer more travel choices to its customers. With four cabin classes available, including First Class, passengers can look forward to a premium travel experience as they journey between these two dynamic cities.
