British Airways Opens New London Music Venue, BA ARC
British Airways has opened British Airways ARC, a new 3,800-capacity entertainment and music venue at Olympia in London, marking the airline's role as Founding Partner of the venue's £1.3 billion transformation.
The venue opened on June 16 with a performance from Self Esteem, kicking off a season of shows that will include McFly, Van Morrison, Khalid, and The Black Keys later this year. British Airways Club members have already secured thousands of ringfenced tickets and can collect Avios points across select bars and restaurants at Olympia from June 22, including Wolves of Tokyo, Lillie's, and Juno.
To mark the launch, the airline unveiled its "Cloudscapes" advertising campaign, featuring alumni talent from The BRIT School displayed across outdoor sites near the venue and inside it.
"British Airways ARC represents an exciting new chapter in our partnership with Olympia and AEG, and a step forward in how we connect our customers with unforgettable experiences, both in the air and on the ground," said Hamish Mcvey, Director of Marketing at British Airways.
The opening also brings a culinary collaboration to the skies. From July 1, British Airways will serve an exclusive menu developed with Olympia restaurant Wolves of Tokyo in Club World on long-haul flights between London Heathrow and Tokyo Haneda. Dishes include crab maki with avocado and orange tobiko, North Atlantic miso glazed cod, and matcha cheesecake, created in partnership with catering provider DO & CO and adapted specifically for in-flight dining.
"This collaboration with Wolves of Tokyo allows us to bring together British Airways' signature dining experience with the bold, contemporary flavours inspired by Tokyo and London's dynamic restaurant scene," said Mark Brega, British Airways' Executive Chef.
