British Airways expands Grind partnership with bespoke in-flight coffee blend

British Airways is expanding its partnership with London-based coffee brand Grind, introducing a bespoke coffee blend developed specifically for in-flight service.

 

The new blend will be served across the airline’s premium cabins, including Club Europe and Club World, as well as in its global lounge network. Designed to perform at high altitude, the coffee has been crafted using specialty-grade Arabica beans sourced from Brazilian estates, delivering a rich, full-bodied flavour with notes of dark chocolate, hazelnut and toasted pecan.

The blend was co-developed by British Airways’ Master of Wine, Tim Jackson, and Grind’s Head of Coffee, Howard Gill, ensuring it complements the airline’s broader onboard beverage experience.

Passengers travelling in First Class will be offered Grind’s signature espresso-based drinks, including options made from the house blend or decaffeinated pods. The same premium offering is also being rolled out across UK lounges, where travellers can enjoy barista-style coffee options.

The move builds on the success of the existing partnership, with Grind products already available for purchase in Euro Traveller cabins on short-haul flights through the airline’s High Life Café service.

British Airways served more than 90 tonnes of coffee last year, highlighting the importance of coffee within its onboard offering. The airline is now further investing in its beverage portfolio, including enhancements to its wine programme and the introduction of new premium selections.

The expanded partnership reflects British Airways’ focus on elevating the customer experience through high-quality, carefully curated food and beverage options.
