Aruba Shares New Tourism Developments for 2023

Yesterday, the Aruba Tourism Authorities (ATA) revealed details about the exciting new tourism products that will be available in the 'One Happy Island" during 2023.
The Dutch Caribbean destination is experiencing a strong post-pandemic recovery already. In 2022, visitor arrivals reached 98 per cent of pre-pandemic levels. Tourist spending has also recovered completely. This solid foundation means that Aruba is prepared to welcome new and improved tourism products in 2023. These include hotel openings and relaunches as well as airport enhancements.
"As we all collectively put the pandemic further into the rearview mirror, Aruba is thrilled to welcome the major developments happening on-island, which add to the excitement visitors will feel this year," said Ronella Croes, CEO of Aruba Tourism Authority, in a statement. "From major accommodation developments to new airport resources, we are excited to showcase how the One happy island is continuously strengthening visitor resources this year."
Notable developments that will be happening in 2023 include:
Major hotel opening:
Embassy Suites by Hilton Aruba will open its doors on February 1, 2023. The new property is located just across the Oranjestad's famous, white-sand Eagle Beach. It will feature 330 spacious, upscale suites with ocean views or islands. Each one comes with a bedroom, separate living space, and a wet bar. The property boasts a large swimming pool, three restaurants, designated meeting spaces and a spa.
Hotels currently or recently under renovation:
The Ritz-Carlton Aruba - This luxury hotel unveiled its contemporary, island-inspired interiors at the beginning of the new year. The hotel's new design pays homage to its prime location on the island's Palm Beach. The Ritz-Carlton Aruba recently introduced new gastronomic offerings. These include Divi Sushi Bar and Lounge’s new rum-tasting, and Madero Pop-Up Bar located in the pool area.
Renaissance Wind Creek Aruba Resort - As 2022 drew to a close this property completed renovations of all its one-bedroom suites. The interiors are now inspired by the island’s unique culture and natural elements.
Radisson Blu Aruba – This Palm Beach property introduced the award-winning Senses Fine Dining idea in December 2022. The restaurant is known for its unique chef's table experience, which is the only one in Palm Beach. However, it also offers an a-la carte dining option. The Clover is a cafe and specialty coffee shop that opened late last year. It serves fine tea, coffee and light fare.
Amsterdam Manor Beach Resort - This resort is currently undergoing major renovations and plans to have all its suite and studio accommodations reimagined by April 2023. The resort recently renovated its iconic restaurant Passions on Beach and Horizons Lounge as well as its freshwater swimming pool and children's pool.
Travelers have new resources:
Aruba One Happy Pass -- The island will soon introduce its new Aruba Happy One Pass. This Pass is designed to simplify visitors' airport check in experience. It uses verification software to digitally verify travelers' credentials and ensure they meet all health requirements. The app is designed to connect directly to each passenger's Embarkation/Disembarkation card to make the entry and exit processes both easier and more efficient.
Global Entry Enrollment - The Aruba Airport Authority and Customs and Border Patrol introduced last month a remote Global Enrollment Center for U.S Citizens. This allows American visitors to apply for their Global Entry certificate conveniently to avoid hassle at the airport and speed up the departure process.
