ANA Introduces Premium Wine Selection for Lounges and International Flights

All Nippon Airways (ANA), Japan's largest and consistently 5-Star rated airline, is set to elevate the travel experience with the introduction of a new premium wine selection for its lounges and international flights.
A Curated Wine Experience
Beginning in September 2024, ANA will offer an exclusive new wine selection in its "ANA LOUNGE" for international flights and "ANA SUITE LOUNGE" for both international and domestic flights. Passengers on international flights can look forward to enjoying these wines onboard starting in December.
The airline's wine specialists, in collaboration with members of THE CONNOISSEURS—a team of renowned chefs and alcohol professionals—curated this season's wine list from over 1,000 global submissions. The final selection includes 61 highly-rated wines from Europe, North and South America, Oceania, South Africa, and Japan, each chosen to complement ANA's in-flight and lounge menus.
Highlights of the New Selection
First Class passengers will have access to premium offerings, including the celebrated Krug Champagne, a staple of ANA's service since 1986, and "Château Langoa Barton - Grand Cru Classé," a Third Growth Medoc Classified from Bordeaux, France.
The wines were carefully chosen under the guidance of world-renowned sommeliers Olivier Poussier, the World's Best Sommelier in 2000, and Satoru Mori, an award-winning sommelier recognized in both domestic and international competitions. Their expertise ensures that each wine selection enhances the dining experience onboard and in the lounges.
Expertise Behind the Selection
-
Olivier Poussier: A distinguished sommelier with a rich history of working at prestigious restaurants and hotels in Paris and England. Poussier was named France's best sommelier in 1989 and won the World's Best Sommelier Competition in 2000.
-
Satoru Mori: A leading figure in Japan's wine industry, Mori has won several top sommelier competitions in Asia and Japan. He is deeply involved in educating future sommeliers and promoting wine awareness. In 2022, he was awarded the Medal with Yellow Ribbon for his significant contributions.
ANA's Commitment to Excellence
This new wine selection underscores ANA's dedication to providing a sophisticated and diverse culinary experience for its passengers. "This selection reflects our commitment to offering a refined journey for our passengers," said Tomoji Ishii, Executive Vice President, Customer Experience Management. "We hope our new wine offerings will further elevate the travel experience."
ANA's new wine selection will be a key feature in the airline's ongoing efforts to enhance the customer experience, offering passengers a taste of luxury as they travel.
