ANA Elevates Inflight and Lounge Experience with Curated Japanese Sake and Shochu Selection

ANA introduces a new selection of Japanese sake and shochu for passengers onboard and in ANA lounges, curated by sake expert Yasuyuki Kitahara, enhancing the travel experience with a taste of Japan's culinary heritage.
All Nippon Airways (ANA), Japan's premier airline recognized with a 5-Star rating for 11 years in a row, is set to enhance its onboard and lounge offerings with an exclusive selection of Japanese sake and shochu starting March 1. The curated collection, selected under the expertise of Yasuyuki Kitahara, ANA's sake advisor and the Assistant Food & Beverage Manager at Conrad Tokyo, comprises 62 distinct brands that blend traditional favorites with contemporary trends.
The upgraded beverage program will be available to first and business class passengers on international flights, premium class passengers on domestic flights, and guests in the ANA SUITE LOUNGE and ANA LOUNGE across both international and domestic terminals.
Tomoji Ishii, ANA's Executive Vice President of Customer Experience Management and Planning, emphasized the airline's dedication to offering passengers a unique journey through Japan's rich sake culture, aiming to provide an unparalleled inflight and lounge experience.
In a special highlight, first-class passengers on international flights will get a preview of the "IWA 5 Assemblage5" in August 2024, ahead of its general release in September. This exceptional sake, a creation of Richard Geoffroy, the former Chief Brewer at Dom Pérignon, from Toyama prefecture, is notable for its innovative blending technique, marking a new chapter each year with its Assemblage series.
Additionally, ANA offers passengers a unique opportunity to sample recommended shochu selections before they are served onboard and in lounges. This tasting event will be held at the ANA SUITE LOUNGE and ANA LOUNGE for international flights at Tokyo Haneda and Narita airports from February 16 to February 29, 2024.
