Lufthansa to Resume Munich–Riyadh Flights in October

Airlines & Airports

Lufthansa will resume non-stop flights between Munich and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia’s capital, starting 26 October 2025. The route will operate three times a week aboard the Airbus A350-900, one of the world’s most modern long-haul aircraft, offering 293 seats across three classes.

Flights will depart Munich at 9:45 p.m., arriving in Riyadh at 4:50 a.m. local time the following day. The return leg will leave Riyadh at 6:25 a.m., landing in Munich at 10:25 a.m., providing convenient connections to Lufthansa’s global network.

The relaunch comes as Lufthansa marks the 65th anniversary of its first flight to Saudi Arabia. Alongside Eurowings and ITA Airways, the Lufthansa Group will offer 22 weekly departures to Riyadh, Dammam, and Jeddah, as part of over 120 weekly flights to the Middle East.

Riyadh, home to nearly eight million residents, is a fast-growing cultural and economic hub, known for its universities, museums, and historic significance on pilgrimage routes to Mecca and Medina. The city hosts major events such as the annual Riyadh Season festival and will welcome the World Expo in 2030 and the FIFA Men’s World Cup in 2034.
