Air India Enhances International Experience for Summer 2026

Airlines & Airports

Air India has unveiled a series of product and service upgrades across its international network ahead of the Summer 2026 travel season, aimed at improving passenger comfort, in-flight experience and overall customer satisfaction.

he enhancements apply to multiple long-haul and medium-haul routes, with a focus on premium cabins and popular leisure and business markets. Upgraded elements include refreshed cabin interiors, enhanced in-flight entertainment systems and improved meal offerings designed to appeal to a diverse global clientele.

Passengers flying in Business Class can expect upgraded seating comfort and increased personal space, while Economy cabin travellers will benefit from improved meal services and expanded entertainment choices on select aircraft types. Air India says these changes reflect both passenger feedback and evolving expectations for long-haul travel experiences.

The carrier is also updating digital services, including the in-flight app and customer interface, to offer more intuitive access to entertainment content, flight information and ancillary services. These digital enhancements are part of a broader strategy to modernise the airline’s product suite and better align with contemporary traveller preferences.

Air India’s senior leadership said the upgrades demonstrate a commitment to provide greater value, comfort and consistency across its international operations as demand for global travel continues to grow.

Many of the improvements are being introduced in time for the peak summer season, giving customers enhanced options for long-haul journeys, including connections to North America, Europe and other key international destinations.

In addition to cabin and entertainment updates, Air India is also strengthening its ground-based services, aiming to streamline boarding, luggage handling and customer support across its network during the busiest travel months.

The airline highlighted that these improvements build on existing investments in fleet renewal, digital platforms and hospitality training — all part of its long-term strategy to elevate service standards and compete in the global aviation market.

Passengers planning their summer travel with Air India are encouraged to check specific flight details and available upgrades when booking, as features may vary by aircraft type and route.
