Air India and Saudia Sign Strategic Codeshare Deal
Air India and Saudia have signed a new codeshare agreement that will take effect from February 2026, aimed at strengthening air connectivity and travel options between India and Saudi Arabia.
The partnership is designed to broaden network access for passengers of both airlines, offering streamlined booking and ticketing, smoother connections under a single itinerary and baggage check-through to final destinations.
Under the agreement, Air India passengers flying to Jeddah or Riyadh will be able to connect seamlessly to Saudia-operated flights to several domestic Saudi destinations, including Dammam, Abha, Gassim, Gizan, Madinah and Taif. Guest flexibility is further enhanced by codeshare flights on the Jeddah-Riyadh corridor, allowing arrivals in one city and departures from another.
Meanwhile, Saudia’s guests will gain access to a wider range of Indian destinations through Air India’s network via Mumbai and Delhi, with key cities such as Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Kochi, Hyderabad, Chennai, Lucknow, Jaipur and more than 15 additional destinations available through interline connections.
The deal comes amid growing demand for both tourism and business travel between India and Saudi Arabia, supporting enhanced passenger experience and deeper air links across the Middle East and South Asia.
Air India notes that this codeshare builds on its extensive network of partnerships, helping travellers access more destinations under a unified travel plan, while Saudia highlights the strategic importance of expanded access to the Indian domestic market as visitor numbers and commercial ties continue to grow.
