Air France Unveils New Embraer 190 Cabin to Hamburg

Air France has launched the first flight featuring its newly redesigned Embraer 190 cabin, marking a significant upgrade in passenger comfort on its short and medium-haul routes. Flight AF1602, operated by regional carrier HOP!, departed from Paris-Charles de Gaulle to Hamburg on 1 September 2025, showcasing a sleeker, more connected travel experience.
The aircraft now features 110 leather-upholstered seats in a 2-2 layout. Passengers benefit from wider, ergonomically designed seating with improved recline, adjustable headrests, foldable armrests, and smart storage solutions. Each seat includes USB-A and USB-C charging ports, a retractable stand for smartphones or tablets, and a double cup holder for added convenience.
Business Class passengers, seated at the front, enjoy extra privacy with a curtain divider. Starting October 2025, an empty adjacent seat will also be guaranteed for Business travelers.
One of the most notable upgrades is the introduction of ultra high-speed Wi-Fi, which is free for all passengers when connecting via a Flying Blue account, Air France-KLM’s loyalty program. This is a first for Air France's regional fleet and part of a broader digital push to enhance in-flight connectivity across its entire network.
The entire Embraer 190 fleet will be refitted by summer 2026, as part of Air France’s commitment to offering a consistent, premium experience across its short- and medium-haul services.
