Air France returns to London Gatwick with Paris service

Air France has returned to London Gatwick for the first time since 1996, launching a new twice-daily service to Paris Charles de Gaulle.

 

The route, operated with Airbus A220 aircraft, offers passengers more flexibility for short city breaks as well as seamless connections to Air France’s global network spanning the United States, Africa, Asia and South America.

The new service strengthens Gatwick’s growing airline portfolio and reflects strong demand for international travel, particularly to popular city destinations and long-haul connections via Paris.

Passengers travelling from Gatwick can now reach central Paris quickly and easily, while inbound travellers benefit from fast rail links connecting the airport to central London in around 30 minutes.

Airport officials highlighted the return of Air France as a key milestone, underlining Gatwick’s continued expansion and attractiveness to major international carriers.

The airline’s launch also comes as part of a broader growth phase for London Gatwick, with nine new airlines joining the airport’s network this year, further enhancing travel options for passengers.

Early booking trends indicate strong demand for leisure travel, including warm-weather destinations and long-haul trips accessed via major European hubs.

The new route reinforces connectivity between the UK and France while supporting both tourism and business travel across the region.
