Air Canada to Launch New Berlin–Montréal Route in 2026
Air Canada will introduce a new long-haul route between Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) and Montréal (YUL) next summer. From 3 July to 11 October 2026, the airline will operate three weekly non-stop flights linking the capital region with Canada’s second-largest city.
Flights will run on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays from Berlin, with return services departing Montréal on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The route offers convenient onward connectivity throughout North America via Air Canada’s hub in Montréal.
Operated by the Airbus A321XLR
The service will be flown by the Airbus A321XLR, marking the first time this efficient long-range aircraft model appears at BER. The aircraft features 182 seats—14 in Business Class and 168 in Economy—and allows airlines to operate long-haul routes with lower fuel usage and improved efficiency.

Montréal: A Vibrant, Bilingual City
Montréal is one of North America’s most liveable and culturally rich cities. Located on the Île de Montréal peninsula and surrounded largely by water, the city blends historic and modern architecture, offers a renowned French-influenced food scene, and hosts world-famous festivals throughout the year. Warm summers and colourful autumns make it an appealing destination for travellers from Berlin and beyond.
The new route strengthens air connectivity between Germany and Canada and expands BER’s growing intercontinental offering.
