Air Baltic Launches Oulu–Riga Flights in March 2026

Airlines & Airports

Air Baltic will launch a new direct route between Oulu and Riga, starting March 29, 2026, with flights operating five times a week until the end of October.

The Latvian airline will fly the route on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, using a 148-seat Airbus A220-300. The new service offers travelers from Northern Finland easier access to Air Baltic’s extensive European and Middle Eastern network via Riga Airport.

“This route not only improves accessibility but also supports inbound tourism to Oulu,” said Petri Vuori, Senior VP of Sales and Route Development at Finavia. “We’re especially excited given Oulu’s status as the European Capital of Culture 2026.”

The route is expected to benefit both leisure and business travelers, offering new opportunities for companies in Northern Finland and encouraging international visitors to explore the region.

In addition to Oulu, Air Baltic also flies from Tampere, Turku, and Helsinki, strengthening its presence in Finland.
