News

Aimbridge EMEA has appointed Xavier Etcheberrigaray as Director of Operations & Quality for Europe, heralding a new era of growth and operational excellence in the region.

Aimbridge EMEA, a branch of the globally recognized Aimbridge Hospitality, has officially announced the appointment of Xavier Etcheberrigaray as the Director of Operations & Quality for its European operations.

Previously holding a position as a general manager within Aimbridge Hospitality's American sector, Xavier transitions to this role with the responsibility of supervising the company's hotels across Western Europe. He will be directly reporting to Nicole Turnhout-Ammerlann, the Vice President of Operations, and will be stationed in the company's Amsterdam office.

Xavier brings to his new position an extensive background in the hospitality industry, boasting over 15 years of experience. His career highlights include significant roles at prestigious organizations such as Kempinski Hotels in the Middle East and Africa, Rixos Hotels in the UAE, Caesars Entertainment Corporation in Las Vegas, and HEI Hotels & Resorts across various U.S. locations including Fort Lauderdale and Georgia.

Holding an MBA in Hospitality Management from the Glion Institute of Hospitality Management, Xavier's expertise is a testament to Aimbridge's commitment to nurturing and advancing its talent pool, while also focusing on expansion within the EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) region.

Expressing enthusiasm about his new position, Xavier highlighted the abundant opportunities within the EMEA hotel sector and Aimbridge Hospitality's advantageous position as the world's largest third-party operator to leverage these prospects. He aims to enhance operational excellence for both new and existing property owners in Western Europe and to utilize the company's global scale to enrich guest experiences.

This strategic appointment comes amidst Aimbridge EMEA's significant growth in Europe, notably marked by the recent addition of its first Spanish establishment, the Grand Luxor Hotel & Village resort, to its portfolio. This property, located on the Costa Blanca and owned by the Santa Maria Group, signifies the company's expanding footprint in the region.

David Anderson, the Divisional President at Aimbridge EMEA, welcomed Xavier, noting his arrival during a pivotal growth phase for the division. With various development projects in progress and more European properties expected to join the portfolio, attracting and nurturing top-tier talent remains a crucial objective for the company. Anderson looks forward to leveraging Xavier's wealth of skills and experience to further Aimbridge's success in Europe.
