United Airlines to Introduce Year-Round Belfast-New York Flights
United Airlines will introduce year-round nonstop services from Belfast to hub at Newark Liberty International Airport in New York.
Bob Schumacher, United managing director sales, UK and Ireland, said: "We're thrilled to offer Northern Irish travellers a year-round direct service to New York."

"New York remains a popular destination for Northern Irish customers and our Newark Liberty hub provides the easiest route into the city as well as convenient connections to hundreds of other destinations across the United States and beyond.
"With this change in schedule, we are offering our customers even more convenient choices."
In addition to its current schedule, United Airlines will now also start offering the service thrice weekly from January 7th through to March 10th, 2016.
"This is excellent news. We have been working with stakeholders to get to this conclusion and we are extremely pleased it is now being delivered," said Graham Keddie, Belfast International Airport managing director.
"The decision by United to return to full year-round service is of considerable significance to the Northern Ireland economy.
"Our one and only direct, scheduled trans-Atlantic service to Newark Liberty is a 'lifeline' for US-owned firms and contributes to the massive efforts by Invest NI to attract additional and highly prized US investment.
"United are to be appreciated, and we will do all we can to promote and market the service."
