“Easiest Job in the World” Now Looks for Applicants in Aruba

News

Are you looking for a new job? What about a job that is easy to do and includes a week in paradise?

Aruba Tourism Authority is looking for someone to take over the role of weatherperson on the island. It describes this job as the "world’s easiest job."

It's so simple! According to the tourism authority, Aruba has more sunshine days than any other Caribbean island. It's basically the same reporting day after day. You don't need any experience, as there is usually very little to report.

"So often, unexpected weather conditions force travelers to reschedule their long-awaited vacations. Fortunately, Aruba is blessed to have consistently clear, sunny skies, making it the perfect destination for visitors to explore and enjoy any time of the year," Aruba Tourism Authority CEO Ronella Croes mentioned. "Through the 'World's Easiest Job' campaign, we are aiming to find the perfect weatherperson to help us showcase the island's wonderful weather."

This "job" is to take over the weather reporting duties for Aruba's social media channels. The package includes a 7-day, 6-night trip for two to Aruba. The weatherperson will spend their week in Aruba at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Aruba Resort, just steps from beautiful Eagle Beach, where they can enjoy some of the most blue water in the world.

Those who are interested should visit aruba.com/WorldsEasiestJob, register, and submit your "best 30-second Aruba weather report." The tourism authority even dropped a hint for the sample weather report: It's "probably 80deg and sunny." Applications are open now through March 31.
