Discover Null Stern, the hotel with no walls

News

This summer, Null Stern Hotel, which became famous due to its incredible offers of artistic vacation spots, opens a hotel with just one special room: no walls or ceiling, an opened room under the sky and stars in a mountainous region of Graubünden, Switzerland.

Even though the translation of the name means "zero stars", his summer, Null hotel has more stars than any other location in the world. The double room that can be rented seasonally for a price that starts at 200 Swiss francs per night is the creation of artists Frank and Patrick Riklin and hospitality expert Daniel Charbonnier. They hope that this unique concept will not remain singular, but will be followed by many others in Switzerland, to highlight the dream landscapes of the Cantons country.

The founders along with hospitality expert Daniel Charbonnier previously transformed a former nuclear bunker in the Swiss city of Teufen into a hotel – branding it the "world's first zero-star hotel”. “Even though this version is radically different from the first one in the nuclear bunker, the essence and the spirit of the concept remains the same – to put the guest at the center of the experience and to focus on the intangible by reducing everything else to the minimum," said Charbonnier.

He also added that he believes that Switzerland "will be the first country to become a hotel." The Null Hotel room also features a classical butler; with white gloves and tie know. He will ensure that every tourist will be warmly welcomed, although there may be need some more features, judging by the local forecasts about stormy weather as the fall approaches. However, reservations can be canceled at the last minute in case of bad weather.
