Yas Island Records Record Year in Terms of Awards

Yas Island Abu Dhabi is wrapping up another year of success with more than 80 awards and praises.

A series of international and local awards have recognized the destination with its many world-class resorts, luxury hotels, innovative experiences, and restaurants, as well as unmatched customer service.

Seven awards were presented to Yas Island for its outstanding theme parks, experiences, and attractions in the 2022 World Travel Awards. Yas Island was awarded the prestigious 'World's Leading Theme Park Destination' title for the fourth year in a row. This is a testament to its global status as a leisure and entertainment center. Ferrari World Abu Dhabi was again named the 'World's Leading Theme Park' and 'Middle East's Leading Theme Park'. Yas Island, an Emirati-themed waterpark, was also named 'Middle East's Leading Water Park'. Warner Bros. World(TM), Abu Dhabi was also named 'Middle East's Leading Tourism Attraction' in 2022. The record-breaking adventure hub CLYMB (TM) Abu Dhabi was named 'Middle East’s Leading Adventure Tourist Attraction 2022'. It boasts the largest indoor flight chamber in the world and the highest indoor climbing wall in the region.

At the Arabian Best of Best Awards, you will be honored with incredible accolades

Yas Island has reaffirmed its status by winning a number of highly acclaimed awards at the Arabian Best of Best Awards. These included Best Family Attraction for Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi and Best Indoor Theme Park For Ferrari World Abu Dhabi.

International Travel Awards: Taking the stage

Yas Theme Parks & Attractions were recognized in three categories of the International Travel Awards. This award celebrates international tourism destinations, attractions, and hotels.
Yas Waterworld was awarded Best Waterpark in the Middle East, while Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi was named Best Family Attraction in the Middle East.

It is a top-rated destination for motorsports, golf, lifestyle, and dining.

The Yas Island portfolio of resorts, hotels, and lifestyle offerings has received praise in 2022 in multiple categories, including entertainment, motorsports, golf, and dining.

Yas Marina Circuit, Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Abu Dhabi were awarded gold at the prestigious annual Sports Industry Awards (SPIA).

W Abu Dhabi- Yas Island was also recognized by the UAE's highly coveted What's On Awards. These awards included Highly commended Favourite Luxury Hotel Staycation and Highly recommended Favourite Brunch. In the Business Traveller Awards, the hotel was named Best Business Hotel in Abu Dhabi and Best All Day Dining Restaurant in Garage. Aznive Boghossian, Young Hotelier of the year was also awarded to the hotel's team in the Hotelier Middle East Awards.

The What's On Awards recognized a variety of dining experiences in Yas Bay's happening area, including the Favourite European Restaurant at The Lighthouse, Favourite Indian Restaurant at Zeera by buddha, Favourite Bar for Siddharta Lounge By Buddha-Bar, Favourite Daycation at Cafe del Mar, and Favourite Steakhouse For Hunter & Barrel. The What's On Awards also recognized Yas Island's Belgian Cafe as their favorite restaurant for Pub Grub, and Still's as the best ladies' night. Yas Island was also the location of the coveted Fact Dining Award 2022, which awarded Filini Garden their favorite alfresco restaurant.

Yas Mall was also awarded the Retail & Leisure Industry Awards for Best Immersive Attraction or Experience, and an Innovation in Technology Award.

Consumer magazines like What's On recognized Yas Island's lifestyle, culinary offerings, and hospitality. They named Ferrari World Abu Dhabi Favourite Attraction, and Warner Bros. World(TM), Abu Dhabi Highly Commended Attraction.

Yas Marina was also recognized in the Blue Flag Awards as an environmental category. The 5 Gold Anchor Platinum awarded Yas Marina the Marina Excellence Award.

Industry Recognition

During 2022, Yas Island's theme park attractions continued to be a major attraction on the industry stage. Several plaudits were received during the Stevie Awards for Yas Theme Parks. The Stevie Awards, which honor the best in business, awarded Ferrari World Abu Dhabi and Warner Bros. World(tm), Abu Dhabi Outstanding Achievement Awards in Themed Consumer Experiences. They also gave Yas Water World an Outstanding Achievement Award for Live Events. Further, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi was awarded a Bronze Award for Innovations in the Use of Events. Yas Water World received the Silver Award for Innovations in Consumer Events. Warner Bros. World(tm), Abu Dhabi also received a Gold Award for Innovations in Celebrity Use.

Yas Island was also recognized in the internationally renowned Effie's Awards. It received two Silver awards for its campaign Stayin' On Yas and a Gold award for its Chief Island Officer campaign. However, the Smarties Awards Platform recognized the destination for its internationally acclaimed campaigns. These amazing feats included a Gold Award in Audio/Voice Branding for Yas Yas Baby and a Gold Award in Cross Platform Digital. The Smarties also awarded Yas Island a bronze award in Lead Generation for its Chief Island Officer Campaign and another Bronze Award in Brand Experience for Yas Yas Baby.

Yas Island also won 2 silver and 1 gold award at the Middle East PR Awards with Best Use Of Influencer/Brand Ambassador for Kevin Hart as well as Best Travel and Tourism Campaigns for Kevin Hart and Yas Yas Bab's Best Consumer Services Campaign.

Yas Theme Parks' attractions and shows continue to delight and surprise visitors, while also earning guest praise on popular global review platforms like TripAdvisor. The 'Travelers Choice Award 2022" was awarded to Yas Waterworld Abu Dhabi, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi, and CLYMB Abu Dhabi. TripAdvisor Awards are based on millions of reviews from travelers around the globe and recognize and reward the best tourism establishments for quality, service, and customer satisfaction.

Yas Island introduced FacePass contactless technology at its theme parks in 2021 as part of its promise to create a world-class destination without walls using the most recent technology. This technology was also recognized in the Park World Excellence Awards and a Gold Stevie Award as Best Consumer Product or Innovation.

These are the top regional leisure attractions

Yas Island received a host of epic accolades at the MENA Leisure and Entertainment Awards, with CLYMB Abu Dhabi being named Best Sport/Adventure-based Entertainment and Best Design of a Facility.
