
World’s 50 Best Restaurants Top was released in New York

Osteria Francescana, owner of 3 Michelin stars and located in the Italian city of Modena was awarded the title of best restaurant in the world, according to the annual World's 50 Best Restaurants List, presented in a ceremony held Monday in New York, informs Reuters.
The Italian restaurant gained the second position in the list last year and reached to defeat the 2015 winner, the restaurant El Celler de Can Roca in Girona (Spain), which was ranked in second place this year, writes Reuters.
Osteria Francescana restaurant welcomes its guests with amazing dishes signed by Chef Massimo Bottura and offers the most delicious flavors, with the just right touch of eccentricity.
The list ranking the 50 best restaurants in the world is created each year by the editors of Restaurant Magazine, since 2002, and is based on personal experiences lived in the restaurants all over the world by 972 chefs, restaurant owners, gastronomy experts bloggers. 50 Best list has gained increasing importance in recent years among chefs worldwide and has grown to rival the famous Michelin guide, awarding stars to each restaurant. Michelin awarded three stars - the highest award possible – to Osteria Francescana restaurant but also to the El Celler de Can Roca restaurant.
Eleven Madison Park in New York, another restaurant owning 3 Michelin stars, was ranked third in 2016 rising two places from last year's ranking. The restaurant Centralk in Lima, Peru, received the fourth place for the second consecutive year. The famous restaurant Noma has continued to drop in the rankings reaching the fifth position. This establishment in Copenhagen, renowned for preparing revolutionary Nordic gastronomy, held the title of best restaurant in the world in the years 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2014.
