Wellness Symposium to be launched at ATM 2017
The $8.3b industry across the Middle East and North Africa will be enriched with a Wellness Symposium introduced for the first time at the Arabian Travel Market.
World Travel Market has partnered with the Global Wellness Institute in order to launch the symposium, hosted this year by the ATM’s Wellness Lounge.
The event, also set to analyze MENA’s inbound and outbound markets for wellness traveling in the Middle East and North Africa, aims to promote the Spa and wellness rapidly emerging sector by gathering and presenting information on latest related trends.
“Wellness travel is not only growing twice as fast as tourism overall, it’s evolving in bold new directions, both globally and across the Middle East. Our on-going mission will be to bring together the top experts and latest research and trends in this travel space to ATM and WTM’s tens of thousands of attendees,” declared Susie Ellis, CEO of Global Wellness Institute.
Moreover, with high demand from wellness market’s consumers, the Wellness and Spa Lounge and the Wellness Symposium targets linking providers and global suppliers in order to boost the sector across the two main regions.
According to a recent Colliers Experiential Travel Series survey, the UAE accounts for 14 per cent of the MENA spa market, with more than 1.7 million wellness visitors and $2.7b in revenues each year.
Arabian Travel Market 2017 will be hosted by the Dubai World Trade Centre between April 24th-27th.
