To honour the festive season, Heathrow will be offering 10,000 presents to passengers

News

Heathrow has recruited "Little Here to Helpers" to hand out 10,000 Christmas presents to travellers as a gesture to celebrate the holiday season.

The gifts will be distributed throughout all 4 terminals between Christmas and New Year's Eve. Chanel fragrances, Pret breakfasts, and luxury cosmetics from World Duty-Free will be among the goodies given out during this year's Christmas celebrations.

Moreover, Heathrow has released an online advent calendar and mobile app offering discounts and deals to travellers who use the airport between now and December 25. Passengers will discover holiday-themed food and drink specials, additional points for the Heathrow Rewards programme, unique promos at World Duty-Free, and more savings from Heathrow stores.

Holiday travellers are set to flood Heathrow Airport in the last two weeks of the month, with more than three million passing through the terminals. Travellers have different preferences for the winter getaway, with New York City and the warm Dubai competing for most of the visitors.

Tonia Fielding, Director of Services at Heathrow commented about the initiative:

“After three years of restricted travel, we are looking forward to welcoming millions of passengers who will be passing through Heathrow this December to go on festive breaks with family and friends.

“We have been working closely with all our partners across the airport to recruit more colleagues to provide a great airport experience. We want to ensure passengers can depart as they mean to go on and enjoy the holiday season from the moment they arrive at Heathrow. We hope our Little Here to Helpers will spread a bit of festive spirit this Christmas.”

You can spot the Little Here To Helpers a mile away since they'll all be wearing purple Santa hats and hanging out beside one of the terminals' 25 decorated Christmas trees. A little bit of vigilance before take-off is all that's required to get the passengers' pre-flight gifts underway. Heathrow's Here to Help initiative, currently in its 12th consecutive year, employs the Little Here to Helpers as part of its commitment to provide travellers with a positive airport experience all year round.
