The Gardens of Versailles are more spectacular than ever
One of the most important tourist attractions in France and in the world, the Palace of Versailles, surprises his visitors with three new spectacular waterfalls. The waterfalls that seem to be pouring the water from the sky were designed by the famous Danish artist Olafur Eliasson.
Installations on the palace’s domain were inspired by an idea of the main gardener at the court of the Sun King (Louis XIV of France), Andre Le Notre. Withal, the gardens of the Palace of Versailles became more interesting with the art installations created by Olafur Eliasson, as the artworks will be hosted until October on the famous historical and tourist site.
The artist has created three unique fountains, the most spectacular of them being a huge waterfall that seems to comes from the sky with its water flowing like a curtain in the Grand Canal in the palace park.
The fountains created by Danish artist can be admired in the gardens of Versailles by 30 October, alongside with other contemporary works of art designed to surprise and delight the visitors, all aiming to show that the " Palace of Versailles does not remain frozen past" , as stated in a press conference by Catherine Pegard, President of the Versailles domain.
