
The Annual Seastainability Report From Royal Caribbean Group Is Now Available

The goals outlined in the report emphasise Royal Caribbean Group's efforts to cut emission levels, increase guest and staff safety, and conserve the planet's seas, among other aims.
One of the 2022 Seastainability Report's intermediate targets is a tenfold decrease in carbon intensity by 2025 relative to 2019. Among the report's other major goals are:
- committing to the Maersk McKinney Moller Centre for Zero Carbon Shipping;
- having successfully concluded the first renewable diesel pilot in the United States aboard the Navigator of the Seas;
- introducing the first carbon-neutral cruise dock facility to the market in Galveston, Texas;
- establishing a DEI guide strategic planning;
- pay parity for female and male workers;
- introducing the Royal Caribbean Startup Programme on Kickstarter to help Bahamian entrepreneurs in the tourist industry;
- expanding the variety of eco-friendly vacations that have earned GSTC seals of approval;
- increasing the percentage of certified sustainable seafood used by the group;
- renewing the collaboration with the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and pledging an extra $5 million to the cause of ocean preservation.
With the release of the company’s 15th Seastainability Report, Jason Liberty, president and CEO of Royal Caribbean Group, declared:
