The 17th edition of SITEV hosted by Algiers

256 exhibitors have registered to participate this year at the International Show of Tourism and Travel (SITEV) welcomed by Algiers

The event this year was opened by Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal accompanied by members of the Algerian government as well as diplomatic body representatives.

The 17th edition of the International Tourism and Travel Fair will close its doors on 18th of May. "Sustainable Tourism and Economy" is this edition's slogan of the fair.

With the occasion, Noureddine Belmihoub, the General Director of the National Tourism Office (ONT), stated that the annual event is considered to be "an opportunity to learn about the various tourist destinations and offers available for the summer season”, that enables “national and foreign economic operators, as well as professionals to establish direct contacts and present their tourist products."

Held by the Ministry of National Planning, Tourism and Craft Industry, SITEV will feature workhops and B to B meetings set to “promote Algeria as a tourist destination, strengthen domestic tourism and support partnership with national and foreign operators through the promotion of investments in this field to join the sector to sustainable economic development."

The show this year is attended by 256 exhibitors from countries like Iran, Malaysia, Turkey, Morocco, Jordan, UAE, France, Tunisia, Geneva, Egypt, Venezuela, Kenya, Spain and Mexico, as well as travel industry representatives from Algiers, including national banks, air transporters, investors and hospitality representatives.
