Swiss-Belhotel International and Omniyat Real Estate have recently signed a management agreement for the opening of two new hotels in the Persian Gulf country.

As the country’s tourism is on the rise, with a goal of 440.000 international visits each year by 2024, Swiss-Belboutique Bneid Al Gar and Swiss-Belresidences Al Sharq are the latest properties the management chain is set to open in Kuweit during 2018.

Bneid Al Gar will feature 58 rooms especially designed to address the needs of both business and leisure tourists and will be located in the centre of Kuwait City. With luxurious recreational facilities such as two restaurants, a bar and a spa&health club, Bneid Al Gar is expected to be the main attraction in the area.

On the other hand, Al Sharq will focus on corporate travellers. Located in the Souq Sharq business district, the hotel will provide 70 fully-equipped rooms and apartments, a restaurant and swimming facilities for both children and adults.

With the occasion of the partnership, Laurent Voivenel, Swiss-Belhotel International’s senior vice president commented:“We are very proud to debut the Swiss-Belboutique and Swiss-Belresidences brands in Kuwait that is one of the key growth markets for us in the GCC. The hospitality Industry in the country is witnessing a remarkable growth at the moment and we are truly grateful to Omniyat Real Estate for having given us this great opportunity.”

Dr. Abdullah Abdulsamad Marafi, GM of Omniyat Real Estate, replied: “We are very pleased to partner with a reputed operator like Swiss-Belhotel International who is well-placed to meet the needs of the domestic market in accordance with the best international standards. Both Swiss-Belboutique Bneid Al Gar and Swiss-Belresidences Al Sharq are being developed for discerning domestic and international travelers looking for world-class accommodation in Kuwait.”

The government is also making efforts to boost tourism in the country, with major investments in infrastructure, as well as leisure and cultural attractions, as Kuwait International Airport is transited by tens of millions of passengers every year and investments are set to increase to $445.9 millions in the next decade.
