Strike to Halt All Passenger Flights at Berlin Brandenburg Airport on 18 March

News

All scheduled passenger flights at Berlin Brandenburg Airport will be suspended on Wednesday, 18 March 2026, following a strike action called by the United Services Union ver.di.

The airport operator confirmed that the warning strike involves employees of Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH (FBB), making regular passenger operations impossible for the day.

Airport authorities have already informed airlines, ground handling companies, security providers and other partners about the disruption.

Passengers are advised to contact their airline or tour operator directly for information on rebooking options and alternative travel arrangements.

The strike is expected to significantly impact travel plans, with no scheduled departures or arrivals taking place during the affected period.
