Sixt Breaks All Previous Sales And Profit Records In 2022
An expanding good market climate helped the German rental company Sixt earn €3.1 billion in 2022.
There was a 34.3% growth in global sales from 2021 to 2022, with the firm recording €2.3 billion in 2022. Pre-tax earnings also achieved an all-time high of €550 million in 2022, up 24.4% from the previous year.
Co-CEO Alexander Sixt officially commented:
“The results show that our group has reached a noticeably higher level in terms of its strategic positioning, earnings power and resilience than before the Covid pandemic.”
Also, the firm anticipated "another very excellent business year" in 2023, with a "substantial rise" in revenue this year due to increased pricing. The continuing improvement in operational execution and the sustained international and product growth is predicated on demand recovering to pre-pandemic levels in 2022 and the early weeks of 2023, although at higher costs.
Sixt had its fastest expansion in North America, and as a result, the United States has surpassed all other countries as the company's most lucrative market. The sum of €908.2m was 55.4% more than in 2021 thanks to growth in sales in North America.
According to Sixt representatives, a lot of money was infused into the company last year, including the vehicles, the employees, the technology, and the advertising. This has set us up for future development and the refinement of the premium positioning.
By the end of 2022, Sixt had an average fleet size of 138,400 rental cars, an increase of 10.5% annually.
