Several resorts in the Dominican Republic temporarily closed

News

Operations halted in order for the resorts to repair the damage provoked by Hurricane Fiona.

As operator Playa Hotels & Resorts stated, "clean-up and repair work as a result of Hurricane Fiona" will be necessary for locations including Hilton La Romana, The Hyatt Ziva, Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana and Sanctuary Cap Cana resorts which will temporarily close for business.

Guests are urged to contact their tour operators for re-bookings or cancellations. Refunds will also be offered for customers choosing this option.

The four properties are expected to reopen on November 1, 16 and December 6 and 20 respectively.

The Secrets Cap Cana Resort & Spa and The Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana operated by Hyatt AMR Resorts also announced limited service or temporary relocation of their amenities until repair work is finished.
