Scheduled Maintenance Affects Train Services to Fiumicino Airport on April 20

Trenitalia announces disruptions in train services between Ponte Galeria, Roma Ostiense, and Fiumicino Airport due to maintenance. Alternative bus services will be provided.

 

Trenitalia has issued a travel advisory for passengers planning to use train services to and from Fiumicino Airport on Saturday, April 20, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Due to scheduled maintenance at the Ponte Galeria and Roma Ostiense stations, travelers may face delays or cancellations during these hours.

To mitigate the impact on passengers, Trenitalia has organized alternative transportation. Bus services will be available to connect Roma Termini and Fiumicino Airport, as well as between Roma Ostiense and the airport. These buses will depart from designated stops at the squares in front of the stations, ensuring continuity in travel plans despite the disruptions.

Specific bus stop locations include:

• Parco Leonardo: Buses will stop at Via Romano, close to the station.
• Fiera di Roma: Passengers can catch the bus at Via G. Roselli, near the FS Station.
• Ponte Galeria: The designated stop is at Via Portuense, ATAC/COTRAL Portuense/Ponte Galeria.
• Muratella: Buses will be available at the ATAC Magliana/Muratella stop on Via della Magliana.
• Magliana: The stop is located at the ATAC Magliana Station on Via della Magliana.
• Roma Termini: The Cotral stop at Via Giolitti, at number 38, will serve passengers to and from the airport.
• Fiumicino Airport: Buses will pick up and drop off passengers at Via Gen. Felice Santini (parking D).

Travelers are advised to plan additional travel time and check Trenitalia's updates regularly for any changes to the schedule or bus service arrangements. This proactive approach by Trenitalia aims to ensure minimal disruption and maintain reliable connectivity between the city and Fiumicino Airport during the maintenance period.
