Ryanair announces flights and hotels holiday packages launch

At first, the service will be available for customers in the UK and Germany only, as the company aims to expand to other markets in the future.

Ryanair has recently launched the latest service offering flights, hotel bookings and transfers in one holiday package. According to the company’s representatives, customers in the United Kingdom and Germany will be the first ones to benefit the new entry.

Ryanair aims for the title of “Amazon.com of travel”, as its expansion in Europe continues with the sales of third parties services via its operations.

“It is going to be an interesting space. Everyone is going for the same ball in the middle and everyone wants to own more of the trip. We are already bringing you to the destination. If we can offer you top class hotel inventory and we forgo our part of the commission to drive bookings, we're confident we'll have the best offer,” declared Kenny Jacobs, Ryanair’s Chief Marketing Officer.

In the near future, the airline’s goal will be to expand and offer city breaks in Prague and Berlin. As a part of the company’s sales strategy, concert and sports tickets are also among travel services that the company plans to offer in the next years.

The new Ryanair Holiday service will be available in partnership with Logitravel and World2Meet and will initially offer summer holidays packages to Spain and Portugal.

According to this month’s data, Ryanair has registered a seven per cent increase in passenger numbers, this way getting ahead of its competitors.
