Reed & Mackay reinforces environmental commitment

According to the venture group’s CEO, Fred Stratford, climate action will help the company remain committed to its net-zero targets, as well as reinforce its market position as a travel management key player promoting sustainability, thus higher customer service standards.
The decision follows the company’s efforts to develop a sustainability module for customers to manage travel programs in line with CO2 standards, in addition to the past Neste SAF cooperation.
Reed & Mackay now has two years to put together its net-zero ambitions and forward them to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) for approval.
“Over the last couple of years, we have had an incredible level of engagement with our clients on the topic of sustainability and have made ambitious investments to address the urgent need to reduce carbon emissions within the travel sector,” commented the UK based travel management company’s international development and sustainability director, Christopher Truss.
The British TMC aims for zero net emissions by 2050.
Reed & Mackay is also a subscriber of the United Nations Global Compact initiative promoting sustainable tourism regulations and was recently offered the EcoVadis Gold rating.
