Regal Princess, one of the top brand new cruise ships has passed its sea trials, awaiting its May 20th debut. Currently placed in Monfalcone, Italy at the Fincantieri shipyard, the ship has been undergoing propulsion, navigation and steering tests.
Completing the five days of testing, the ship has been returned to the shipyard for the final touches of detail in terms of interior and exterior finishing.
Regal Princess will have a fairytale maiden voyage to go along with her name, traveling for seven days from Venice, Italy to Athens, Greece. Along this route, it will make stops in Corfu, Mykonos and Istanbul.
The ship is intended to follow two routes for this upcoming summer and it will sail under the Grand Mediterranean cruises flag. Another interesting feature is that of the sister-ship with Royal Princess a cruise ship which has been sailing for some time now, making it thus easy for enthusiasts to know above which quality standard the Regal will rise.
