EasyJet App ready for Apple Watch Launch
Technology

EasyJet has created a dedicated app for the Apple Watch, which will be ready to download when the long-awaited new wearable launches on April 24th.
Besides its accurate timekeeping, Apple Watch has been designed to provide personalised notifications for travellers. Industry experts believe that giving users crucial information in an easier and more accessible way is one of the most exciting aspects of the new wearable technology.
It will easily connect to the easyJet app, which was created in conjunction with MTT, the airline's mobile partner. The app will offer personalised flight information and real-time views of the most frequently checked travel information by travellers.
One of the main benefits of the app, which will be available in five languages, will be the Passbook boarding pass that will enable quick and easy use throughout the airport.
Another key feature of Apple Watch will be Glances, which will inform and remind passengers of important part of the journey, including check-in detail, pre-departure information, weather in destination, up-to-date local currency exchange rates and real time flight status – as a continuation of easyJet's successful flight tracker tool.
It will also feature a useful countdown function that will inform the user when it's time to board the aircraft.
All of these notifications will be forwarded directly to Apple Watch, with the user feeling a gentle tap upon receipt. At certain stages of the trip, passengers will also have the opportunity to use Facebook and Twitter directly from the watch face.
