New Meeting and Event Planning Tool from Thrust Carbon
Thrust Carbon, an emissions data platform, has released a reporting tool tailored specifically to conferences and conventions.
Event organisers can now "accurately" assess the emissions caused by their events with the help of Thrust Events, while attendees get a bird's-eye view of their combined carbon footprints from both travel and activities.
The company argues that planners may create a white-label emissions report by entering information about the event's location, attendees, and mode of transportation. The programme also provides tips on how to optimise transportation, choose environmentally friendly locations, and minimise food waste.
This tool was developed for M&E programmes that manage anything from two hundred to fifty thousand events annually and is capable of calculating emissions over an event's full lifespan. It allows an unlimited number of users, has single sign-on, and can automatically import data streams.
Pricing for Thrust Events starts at ten pounds per event and decreases to less than one pound per event at the highest scale. However, the firm needs a minimum commitment of two hundred events per year; however, Thrust Carbon said that the minimum commitment requirement is expected to be "relaxed" in the "coming months."
Thrust Carbon co-founder Kit Aspen stated the recent technology would enable event management organisations to minimise the carbon impact of their activities in an economical and effective way.
“Unlike traditional methods that rely on spreadsheets, Thrust Events sets a new standard for sustainability in the M&E sector by offering a comprehensive and integrated approach that maximises the impact of sustainability efforts,” Aspen explained.
According to TMC's director of events, Helen van Berkel, the app is seen as a fantastic complement to the company's offering, while providing clients sustainable travel and event alternatives that not only improve their entire experience, but also correlates with the industry's dedication to sustainability.
