Lufthansa launches new premium onboard experience “FOX”

Lufthansa has launched its new premium onboard concept, “FOX” (Future Onboard Experience), starting with First Class on long-haul flights.

 

The new service, introduced on March 29, 2026, is part of a major investment exceeding €70 million aimed at enhancing the overall customer experience across all travel classes. Developed over two years, the concept incorporates feedback from thousands of passengers and crew members.

In First Class, FOX introduces a refined dining experience created by two-Michelin-starred chef Christoph Kunz. Passengers can enjoy a selection of curated small plates, including multi-course tasting options, alongside a gourmet breakfast menu that features caviar on request.

The beverage offering has also been upgraded, with an expanded menu including cocktails, mocktails and a new premium champagne selection. Notably, Lufthansa now serves Veuve Clicquot’s La Grande Dame as part of its First Class experience.

Additional enhancements include new tableware and a personalised amenity concept in partnership with skincare brand BABOR, allowing passengers to choose products tailored to their preferences during the flight.

The airline’s signature caviar service remains a key feature, now complemented by traditional accompaniments and new presentation elements.

Following the First Class rollout, Lufthansa plans to extend the FOX experience to Business, Premium Economy and Economy Class starting in May.

The initiative marks one of the most significant upgrades to Lufthansa’s onboard service in recent years, as the airline looks to redefine premium travel ahead of its 100th anniversary.
