Loire Valley welcomes the opening of Chateau Louise de La Valliere
The Chateau Louise de La Valliere, a brand-new five-star hotel located in the Loire Valley of France, opened its doors to guests as a member of the Relais & Chateaux family.
The château dates back to the 16th century, but has been converted into a boutique hotel featuring 20 rooms, a gourmet restaurant, and a wellness centre. The hotel is located close to Tours and Amboise.
The interior designer Jacques Garcia was responsible for the restoration of the château, and the final result included historical furniture, paintings, tapestries, and unique art works as part of the décor.
Chef Maxime Lesobre presides over the kitchen at the L'Amphitryon restaurant, which takes its name from one of Moliere's comedies. The restaurant has a setting that is reminiscent of the pageantry of the 17th and 18th centuries and serves a rich set menu.
The La Rosee spa can be found on the outskirts of the forest and features five treatment rooms, a Jacuzzi, a sensory pool, and a section dedicated to halo-therapy.
The 47-acre site has a Fig Conservatory as well as a rose garden and is home to trees that are over two centuries old.
The employees dress in clothing appropriate to the time period and re-enact the traditions and practises of the historical period.
The Loire Valley is a valley that stretches for 280 kilometres and is situated in the middle section of the Loire river in the heart of France. Because of the abundance of vineyards and fruit orchards that line the banks of the river, the region known as the Loire Valley is also known as the Cradle of the French and the Garden of France.
The area of the valley that is central was included on the UNESCO World Heritage Sites list and is well-known for its mediaeval cities, architecture, and wines.
