KLM Suspends Several Middle East Flights
KLM Royal Dutch Airlines has suspended multiple flights to the Middle East as regional tensions and airspace restrictions continue to disrupt international aviation.
In a statement, the airline said it is currently avoiding the airspace of Iran, Iraq and Israel, as well as several countries in the Gulf region, as a precaution due to the evolving geopolitical situation.
Because of these restrictions, KLM has halted flights to Dubai, Riyadh, Dammam and Tel Aviv until further notice. Passengers booked on affected services have been informed and offered alternative travel options where possible.
The airline says safety remains its top priority and it will continue to monitor the situation closely before deciding when normal operations can resume. Travel schedules may be adjusted further depending on developments in the region.
The disruptions are part of a broader aviation impact caused by rising tensions in the Middle East, with several airlines worldwide cancelling or rerouting flights to avoid conflict zones and closed airspace.
Passengers traveling to or from the Middle East are advised to check their flight status before heading to the airport and follow updates from airlines as schedules continue to change.
