
ITA Airways Launches Direct Flights from Rome to Dakar for Summer 2024

ITA Airways announces a new direct flight from Rome to Dakar, starting July 3, 2024, as part of its summer schedule, enhancing its international and intercontinental offerings with the fuel-efficient Airbus A321neo.
ITA Airways is excited to announce the launch of its new nonstop flight service between Rome and Dakar, marking a significant expansion of its international flight network. Sales for the route, starting on July 3, 2024, are now open, with the airline offering four weekly flights connecting Italy's capital with Senegal's vibrant city.
The flights will depart from Rome Fiumicino to Dakar with a summer schedule that includes departures at 3:30 p.m. local time, arriving at 7:30 p.m. local time. From October 27th, the schedule will adjust to a 3 p.m. departure from Rome, with an 8:10 p.m. arrival in Dakar. The return flights from Dakar to Rome will leave late at night, ensuring passengers arrive in Rome early in the morning, optimizing convenience for travelers.
These services will be operated using the state-of-the-art Airbus A321neo, known for its efficiency, reduced environmental impact, and comfort. The A321neo offers a three-class configuration, including Business Class, Premium Economy, and Economy, with cabin interiors designed by Walter de Silva that reflect Italian elegance and style.
The new Rome-Dakar route is part of ITA Airways' strategic initiative to enhance its presence on the African continent and cater to both leisure and business travelers. This addition to ITA Airways' summer 2024 schedule increases its destinations to 57, including 16 domestic, 26 international, and 15 intercontinental routes. The airline will also serve 10 additional seasonal destinations, focusing on popular Mediterranean tourism spots, accessible through nonstop flights from Rome Fiumicino and Milan Linate.
