Ireland to host Belmond Grand Hibernian inauguration

The first luxury sleeper train, the Belmond Grand Hibernian, will start its first journey in Heuston Station for a six-night rail tour of Ireland.

A very elegant, Irish country-style train, the Belmond Grand Hibernian will debut its 2.217 kilometres journey from Dublin to Cork from one of Ireland's main railway stations – Heuston.

Up to 40 guests choosing to embark the contemporary train will follow an adventurous and full of surprises itinerary, while visiting the Jameson’s Distillery, the Blarney Castle, the Irish Killarney National Park, the historic city of Galway, the hills of Connemara, the Ashford Castle and Ireland’s oldest School of Falconry.

The train features stylish, midnight blue carriages named after the Irish counties, 20 luxury en-suite sleeper cabins, one Observation Car, one social hub and a highly professional crew ready to assist the most exclusive of travellers. Guests of Belmond Grand Hibernian can also experience the best of the Irish cuisine, in a blend of tasteful dishes created by Head Chef Alan Woods.

Belmond Grand Hibernian train is set to offer two, four and six-night itineraries until the end of October.
